    Job Description:
    As an Electrical Project Manager, you will be responsible for overseeing the successful execution of electrical projects from inception to completion. You will collaborate closely with customers, engineers, contractors, local authorities, and team members to ensure that projects are delivered safely on time, within budget, and to the highest quality standards.     • Familiarity with relevant regulations, codes, and standards (e.g., Distribution Safety Rules, IET Wiring Regulations, BS 7671, CDM Regulations 2015).
    • Excellent leadership and communication skills with the ability to motivate and manage multidisciplinary teams.

    • Solid understanding of financial management and cost control.

    • Experience in leading and supervising a team in a construction or utilities environment.
    • Excellent organisational and problem-solving skills, with the ability to prioritise tasks and manage multiple projects simultaneously.
    • Proficient in reading and interpreting technical drawings, plans, and specifications.

    • Perform switching and isolation operations on low-voltage electrical networks following company procedures and safety regulations.

    To carry out all aspects of cable jointing activities, whilst sometimes working in challenging weather conditions. Have an excellent understanding of cable jointing practices, and the importance of safety focus whilst carrying out work. We are ideally searching for DNO-trained jointers (UKPN desirable), but the job is not limited to this, and we would be prepared to train and develop currently qualified cable jointers who do not have any DNO experience or authorisation.

    Responsibilities:
    • Perform (live LV) jointing and terminations of LV and or HV electrical cables for both underground and overhead distribution systems and assets.
    • Install, repair, and maintain electrical distribution equipment, including switchgear, transformers, and other electrical assets.
    • Carry out inspections and tests on electrical equipment and cables to identify and resolve faults or prove safe to connect to the distribution network.
    • Work with a team of skilled operatives and engineers to ensure the efficient and safe operation of the distribution network.
    • Adhere to all safety regulations and company policies during work execution.

    Requirements:
    • Proven experience as an Electrical Distribution Jointer, with a minimum of 2 years in the field.
    • Physical fitness and the ability to work in outdoor and sometimes challenging environments.
    • Proficient in the jointing and termination of LV and or HV cables for both underground and overhead systems.
    • Sound knowledge of electrical distribution systems, equipment, and components.
    • Ability to read and interpret electrical diagrams, blueprints, and technical manuals.
    • Excellent teamwork and communication skills.
    • Strong commitment to and understanding of safety practices in the workplace.
    • Clean UK fully comprehensive driving license.
    • Regular drug and alcohol tests will be mandatory, and you will have to pass a test on your company induction.
